Next July (2016) I'll be visiting the City of Vancouver (with work), I'm hoping to stay for a week or so afterwards as a 'holiday'. Anything you recommend I do/see?

So far my list is
- Stanley park
- Queen Elizabeth Park/Bloedel
- Hiking/wildlife/camping type tour thing

Anything you'd recommend seeing? Any projects worth visiting? Has anyone done any camping/hiking in the area with a tour company they would recommend? (I'm hesitant about hiking on my own.. it depends where- I'm from the UK and its pretty impossible here to meet any wild animals, or to get sufficiently lost- the island just isn't big enough and you're never that far from a town- so the idea of hiking in actual big wilderness with actual big animals is kind of scary...)

Thanks,
Charli
