Some new friends tell me they used to feed their goats cigarettes. "Kills the worms and they lime 'em too!"

i wouldn't doubt it kills the worms, considering all the toxic chemicals that are in them. cant say id be feeding my animals ciggs though.

I'd be tremendously more comfortable just growing some ornamental tobacco flowers in their paddock, and letting them choose whether and how much to consume.

That way, I wouldn't be adding any polonium to my food supply.

Not a bad point at all, one that isn't brought up a lot! I was planning on using organic american spirits, though they probably have polonium too...

I would have second thoughts, not because of the tobacco but the sprays and additives. Last year a tray of tobacco seedlings fell off the back of a pick up and we picked them up. I planted a few, the animals ate the tobacco down to the nub. It bothered them none. I am considering growing tobacco just for them.
