Here at Finca Quijote, we are always inventing recipes and trying out new ways to cook with new foods and old favorites. This week Ginnee wrote a blog post on her new secret ingredient in brownies and other baked items that call for coffee in the ingredients. Want to know the secret? Check out the blog post here .... http://www.fincaquijote.com/blog/baking-with-coffee

Baking and cooking with coffee is common enough here in Hawaii. Espresso brownies are yummy. Coffee also is an ingredient in delicious steak rubs. Lots of dishes do great with coffee.

Agreed, it's an amazing universal ingredient, it makes a lovely facial scrub as well!

I have used it in my pumpernickel. Left over from church, I froze it and baked next weeks bread with it, mostly for the thrift of it, and to add color to my bread.
