Hello Cassie!

I am VERY interested in resilient communities, as I belong to a local CERT. I also maintain the emergency generators and other emergency "stuff" for our building.

Curious about the conference here. Looks like it might be great, but I wonder sometimes- especially about California. Curious if this is going to be a conference about true resilience or if it's one of those conferences where folks basically call for yet more regulations, dollars and CFL's... Not trying to be inflammatory, just curious what you will find.

Please report back and let us know about what you found while attending!

Hi Cassie,

I hope you enjoy the conference, but I am disappointed, as I was hoping to meet you at the upcoming pyronauts party!

I'm here at the convergence. It would be great to meet some other people from the forums. It's a fairly small gathering so we'd probably bump into one another anyway... anyhow, any permies that want to meet up, feel free to purple moosage me. Looking forward to the workshops today.

Toby Hemenway gave a great talk about his new book last night.
