I stumbled upon these three Roman treatises on Agriculture, written by Marcus Terentius Varro around 100 B.C..
As I sit, perusing these
books with my morning
coffee, I have been thrilled to discover quite a few references to stacking functions, composting, the importance of
polyculture on the farm,
earthworks strategies, etc. Check it out! You might learn something new.
