So recently my beloved 9 month old rooster went missing. He was huge, deep colors and loved his hens. I think a predator took him, because we saw a lot of wild turkeys huddled around the coop and they always say predators follow turkeys. So I think he stood up and was taken in a flash.

I'm looking for an ameraucana rooster in the tri-states area of TN , GA , NC area. I'm located on the northern Georgia side.

Thanks,
Michelle

Are you keeping an eye on your local craigslist? Free roosters go up on my local craigsliat all the time, especially at this time of year. I think you can set it to notify you if an ad for the roo you're looking for pops up

Yes I have been keeping an eye out on there and also on facebook there are groups like "North Ga Chickens" and "Georgia Livestock" etc. I guess it will take time to keep looking for someone in the area that isn't 2+ hours away.

Michelle, where are you? Our homestead is in Crandall off hwy 411, but still live in town(Alpharetta) during the week. Look on CL and if you can find anything between Atlanta and Crandall, we could easily make a pick up for you...Maybe for an egg or two?

Hey Kdan,

I'm located on Highway 5 near Blue Ridge, Georgia. IF you have a ameraucana rooster I can definitely come and pick him up! Any time! How old is he?

What's gotten into you? Could it be this tiny ad?
