I was searching on Amazon for books on composting loos and found a book which led me to this website www.ShareTheMoslet.com.
I did a permies search in the composting loo section for "Moslet" and "Bender" and "HSS"-all related to this design and came up empty. If there is a thread with this info, please feel free to say so and I'll close/delete this thread.
This guy has some cool loo designs and also other water saving ideas for hand washing and showers.
With Water day coming up later this month I thought it appropriate.

Hmmm. I like any idea to save water and pollution from human sources. Thank you for sharing this info!

What troubles me is the fiddly looking parts, for instance "make sure to NOT sit forward when the sub-lid diverted cover is extended" or whatever it actually said.

I've never seen one of these, but I put the idea with other "contraptions" which are well meant. I personally would be just as happy with a straight bucket toilet and pump sprayer to clean. Dirt and sawdust I trust, maybe a little shy of moving parts under my bum that might need disassembly to clean. Perhaps I don't understand.

Clearly the creators put some effort and thought in there, but I'm happy with the old mousetrap, so to speak.

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
