I haven't had any luck once they don't get along. The best luck I had was when I had a big Turken rooster and introduced a very young Dominque rooster. I never had a problem between the two of them. Since that time, I have had exactly the problem you describe, to the point that the dominant rooster forced the submissive one out of the coop on frigid winter days and wouldn't allow him back in until well after sunset. I had to get rid of one of them each time this has happened.
