Hi Everyone, I have a room available (about 20' x 14') at a beautiful mature permaculture homestead near Philomath, OR.

The gist: $100/month plus 30 hours of worktrade. Shared kitchen and bathroom (outdoor composting toilet). If you can't do the worktrade it's $10/hour you couldn't do. Bills (phone/internet, propane) are about $80/month. Opens December 1st.

I'd love to use google hangouts to interview prospective roommates, but phone will work too. If you live in the area we can get a beer or coffee in Corvallis.

I'm looking for people who are: responsible, hard working, mentally/financially secure (or can figure it out on their own or asking directly for help), enjoy sharing/mutual aid, quiet, humble, respectful, great at constructive conflict, empathic listeners, relatively clean, funny/enjoy laughing and play....You get the idea!

What is there to do in the winter?: pruning willow and fruit trees, mulching garden beds, various farm projects, cleaning goat stalls, etc.

This place is for people who: want to homestead as a passion, love basketry and doing projects, want to learn more about raising animals (goats, rabbits, chickens, etc) and gardening.

I'm personally more focused on rewilding myself, so if you're interested in stuff like that (wildcrafting, hide tanning, etc.) I could be of help. Katy, the owner, mostly wants people to focus on homesteading projects however.
