Beautiful 5 acre homestead in Southern Oregon seeks more long term community and caretakers. The land is nestled in the rural and small but vibrant community of Williams. It's a beautiful mix of old growth oaks, pines, firs, some cedar and madrones, along with open fields, a seasonal creek and large pond. There is one very well established 1/2 acre medicinal herb and veggie garden and two more very large fenced in areas for gardening. All established with drip irrigation.

Apart from myself there are two other full time residents here in little cabins and circulating worktraders/permaculture apprentices.
I've been homesteading this land mostly solo for the last 10 years and in a place where I'm ready and looking for more long term support and folks that want to create and sink more deeply into community here. I have a beautiful and very sweet studio apartment available for worktrade. It has a small but full kitchen and a  very large back porch with outdoor shower and composting toilet overlooking the pond. Ideally the occupants would be a couple with one person able to offer more handyman/maintenance type work and the other able to offer more domestic cleaning/organizing managing worktraders etc. There is room for and I would love to incorporate rotational/regenerative livestock grazing ie-sheep, goats, horses etc. If yo have livestock you want to come with.

Looking forward to connecting with those interested.
Happy Spring!

Hi,

I love your homestead. I can see you have put a lot of hard work into it. I am new to the forum. I don't see any replies to your post. Am I just not seeing the replies?

Thanks,
Kevin

I would love to chat with you. I don't see a way to message you, but I will respond to your craigslist ad, as well, and leave you my email address, here. My name is Susanna, and my email address is: realmofcats@protonmail.com (I only have one cat ) I am not part of a couple, but I get the sense that I could be a good fit, if you are open to a single person, from reading both of your ads. Happy to go into more detail via a more direct form of communication. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Hello,

Would you be interested in a small family coming to work/ live on the property?

We gave two small children that I homeschool.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Hope to hear from you!
