Crunchy Rolls in a Clay Bread Pan

I forgot to cut Crisco Veg. Shortening in to my rolls .. but that wasn't bad .. it was good. I got a crisp top and sides where they touched the pan and I got them done in three hours .. and then the benefit of not eating the Crisco. I threw just a tad of baking powder in there with a spoon full of sugar to get the browning.

Warmed everything with my heating pad.

The heavy clay pot kept the rolls hot for a good thirty minutes .. like they would still melt butter after being out and covered with a heavy bath towel .. we have a towel tree and always keep a big bath towel there. Get a lot of comments about that .. but it works for us .. I wash my hands and face in the sink a whale of a lot more often than in the bathroom.
