Hello all, hopefully this is the right place to put this.  I am a single male in my mid 20's looking to grow my organic farm/permaculture experience through a work exchange trade.  I prefer sleeping in my hammock outside so a room would not be needed, but I would like to find somewhere that meals would be included in exchange for work that includes many learning experiences.  I grew up in my grandparents garden on the farm but do not remember a whole lot from that.  I worked at a greenhouse (Kaw Valley) in Kansas for a few years in high school.  Not a complete idiot but would definitely need some good directions once.  Am very bright and can grasp concepts quickly.  Would work as hard as possible, as I don't really have any other obligations/interests I'm currently motivated in.  Any help on this would be awesome.  I'm currently in the Wichita area but would be looking for something in the KS/NE/OK/MO/AR area.  Am in-shape and am ready to do the dirty work.  Recently built 2 raised beds and a compost bin for my parents.  Would be open to just a couple weeks or a longer-term commitment.  Please let me know.

Hello Matthew,

I'm currently working at Heal the Planet Farm in Southern Missouri (Koshkonong), and we are looking for some work-traders who are eager to learn. Please email me if you are interested in this opportunity. healtheplanetfarm@livebeyondorganic.com

Have a great day!

Hi!
I have a lot converted into a mostly perennial garden next to my house in Lawrence KS and will be out of town for a month July-beginning of Aug. If you still need a spot during that time and you're wanting your own space I could use a house-sit, garden bounty eater and caretaker.
Thanks, Tina

Hi Matthew
I have a small organic farm near Hillsdale Lake, southwest of Kansas City. I need a farm sitter from time to time for 4-5 days and would pay you for your time if you were willing.
Not a lot of work involved. Just some basic animal care and watering plants when they need it. I live near a large lake, I have kayaks, and am surrounded by state park land. So there is lots of fun stuff to do around me. Let me know if you might be interested.

Steve, I sent you an e-mail yesterday, thanks for the post!!

Everyone else--a bit busy today but will try to go through your posts and might just copy/paste the additional info on what I'm looking for that I sent to Steve to all of you, as I have not received a reply from him yet.  Thanks for all the replies.

Eliot - e-mail sent.

Tina & Stephanie - I am looking for something more full-time, however if I cannot find anything like that which meets my needs, I will try to get in touch with both of you later on.  I appreciate your first permies posts being on my thread.  Stephanie, I do not have any experience with animal care but that is something I would love to learn.  I have butchered "game" animals/fish my whole life, but I don't think that's the "basic animal care" you're looking for. hahah

Hi....If you haven't found your ideal opportunity....perhaps you'd want to consider this.  This land is on the Iowa side of the Missouri/Iowa line and consists of 287 acres.  There are large gardens (Larger than one person can easily manage) that are 100% organic and a large 5' panel fence around 4 acres .... protected by a livestock/garden guardian dog that keeps the wild things on the outside of the fence.  At the moment I have all the work/jobs I can handle and need help with various projects....many of which need someone to hold up the other end of the "board".  There is a newly-constructed separate living space for bad-weather days not conducive to hammock sleeping and lots of organic space for any project that interests you.  If you are still looking for whats next, you can reach me through here or at scerato11@aol.  Definite Best Wishes  Susan

Hello, I have a 14 acre property with a cabin. My wife and I are cultivating a silvopasture and a vegetable garden. Also starting pasture hogs. We are beginning construction of a completely off grid earth ship and hope to amp up construction in may and June.

Would be happy to discuss terms, such as possible subdivision etc...

We are in southeast Nebraska close to the Blue river.
