Hi there! My name is Michael Anthony. I'm a 23 year old male from Florida, and I've been interested in
permaculture and homesteading for roughly a decade now. However, being from the
city, and having all of my friends and family here, I've always been hesitant to just uproot myself and take the steps needed to get where I really want to be in life. Times change and it appears a lot of my friends are all realizing the same thing, that our current way of life is not
sustainable for us, our families, or our posterity, so we are setting out to learn the skills we need to be able to provide that type of security for ourselves and our future families.
While I do not have extensive
experience with carpentry,
gardening, farming, or anything like that, I am a very quick learner as well as a hard worker, and I'm confident I would be an asset to any farm or
permaculture co-op out there. I am looking for something long term, and something that offers work or
land after all is said and done. That last part isn't mandatory but definitely would be ideal because I'd like to re-root myself in a new, sustainable community of like minded individuals. I am a member on
WWOOF, and I have some experience with co-op living, I spent roughly 2 months living in northern Florida with a dozen or so others protesting and fighting the pipeline that was installed under the Suwannee River.
Anyway
enough ranting. I am looking to leave as soon as possible, and am mainly looking for places in the United States(for now).
