Definitely gonna be in the seattle area aug 21 to aug 24.  We have a place lined up.

Either before or after that we will spend two nights at the oregon coast.  So whether we are just driving through portland/spokane/cda/yakima/bellingham/etc. is yet to be figured out.

In the past I did the deal where I would come and speak for free provided there were at least 40 people.  It turns out that it turned into enough work for jocelyn that we need to rework that.  I'm gonna explore some options, but I think the big change is gonna be to simply charge $400 per speaking gig this time.

Here are my canned presentations:

72 bricks to build a better world
replacing irrigation with permaculture
raising chickens 2.0:  no more coop and run
wofati natural building
making the big bucks with permaculture
rocket mass heaters
* Reducing your carbon/petroleum footprint to zero

*=  I have not made this presentation yet, but I gave a similar one in 2012 and would like to update it to the footprint presentation.   I would like to model the presentation after my essays:

     - reduce your petroleum footprint to zero and still use petroleum

     - Derrick Jensen "personal change vs. political change"

So at this point, I think it would be good to first figure out what sort of speaking gigs people want and what dates might work.    ??

Probably a good time to see the total eclipse near Newport on Aug 21 morning!  As long as you can line up accomodations and don't mind some crowds...

Hi Eric! We're actually going to dodge the crowds and will be in Washington near Seattle by Monday, Aug. 21st. While it's a cool and epic thing to be sure, we'll be happy seeing it as we can from farther north.

Darn, I always enjoy seeing you and Jocelyn when you are in town.  Maybe I just need to buy a pie and put it on the window sill!

What is that? Is that a mongol horde? Can we fend them off with this tiny ad?
