Thanks, Paul!
I see one of the several pictures at that link now.
I am trying to design a
wood non-electric heater for the walk-out finished basement of my 3000 sq ft brick modern home in Richmond VA.
I want the wood and ashes to be done from outside. My wife has asthma and it just doesnt make sense to haul logs in the house, and ashes back out, when the outside wall is right there.
I don't want to build mass out of mud. I hear that
water is 4x or 5x more efficient heat capacity than dry mud. So am looking to do a passive water circulation. I have heat-going-up advantage here.
Where do I go for advice/ideas/used or not too expensive components? I need something that my ins co and county will LIKE. So prefer that at least the burn box be certified by some recognized body.
We have plenty of
free wood here.
Thank again.
