Leyland Cypress clippings as mulch?

There are a lot of houses around here that use leyland cypresses in their yards and they clip them regularly.Can i use these clippings as a mulch?Would i have any problems with it?
Has anyone experience with ths kind of mulch?

I think this cypress is quite possibly toxic to other plants I would not and do not use it as a mulch where I want to grow stuff

I 've asked the same question to the 'Garden Professor Blog '' on facebook and the response was this.

''Pretty much any tree material is great as a mulch. The sooner you use it the more nutrient value you will get.

Cut down two of them and chipped them last year, they worked great. I don't think you'll have any issues.

I have not had any issue with utilizing cypress mulch in my landscaping. I utilize arborist chip and lay lit liberally.
