hello, name is Chris and from southern Wisconsin.  Just recently found this site. I see a lot of knowledge here.  Problem is that this site is not easy to use.  And I am not a tech guy.  How do I make a forum post or ask a question for help? I wanna build a rocket mass heater and want to hear from those who have built them.

Hi Chris; Welcome to permies!  Your best initial source  of information on rocket mass heaters is, the builders guide by ernie and erica Wisner. Available at amazon (The Rocket Mass Heater Builder's Guide: Complete Step-by-Step Construction, Maintenance and Troubleshooting) Buying and reading this book will get you up to speed on the methods and terminology used here in the forum. Learning how to properly build a RMH can seem daunting to the uninformed. It,s not ... I call it rocket science as a joke. Its  really very basic , working with mud and bricks. As you read the book , questions will arise ...  permies is the  place to get those questions answered.  Buy the book , read it and begin to understand the wonderful world of rocket science!  There can be a rocket mass heater in your future too!

If you need to start a new thread, go to the proper subforum (like Energy > Rocket Mass Heaters) and find the "New Topic" button at the top right above the forum content box.

Cats say "meow" because they think that is what people sound like. This tiny ad told me so:
