why is my inbox inundated with posts all in chinese writing? I have unsubscribed from the earthship forum, that seems to be where they are - but it looked like maybe you had been hacked or something, which is why I unsubscribed from that forum, for now, just until I find out what might be going on. It's spam....there will be a moderator around soon to deal with it.
It's going on like that all the time and staff has the job of deleting it behind the scenes (much of it before we see it).

Staff are all volunteers from all different countries with busy lives outside of the forums so sometimes it takes a bit to make it 'disappear'.

they got it!

Now what seems odd is my 'recent topics' page only has the topics that are left after the spam is gone, only three of them last I looked, rather than a page full.

Here are a couple odd things I noticed after the spam in the earthship forum was gone...

There are no posts listed on the first page of posts on the right. There are posts on the second,etc pages. (first attachment)

There are still a couple of the spam posts showing in the 'best this year' list (second attachment)
