There's two main types of chamomile. The annual and the perrenial. The annual is usually tall and the perrenial is usually a short creeping ground cover. The annual you are best gathering seed from and scattering it, the perrenial sends out runners and can be transplanted. I believe the annual likes sandy soil, though it can be grown in other types. The
perennial I've seen grow in sandy and clay soils. I live in a moist climate, so I don't know how the perrenial reacts to dry climates. I believe the annual just goes to seed. Good luck!
