I know there are some very nice Best Topics and Hot Topics lists as well as some great things in the Wiki. But do some of you long-timers have some threads that you feel are essential reading for those of us who are new to Permies? I'm thinking less about how-to-use-the-site threads and more about threads that deal with core permaculture and homesteading concepts that are of highest value and worth reading and re-reading.

This is a great question, Greg!   Here are my suggestions:

The permaculture a designers manual Forum is a great place to learn about permaculture:

https://permies.com/f/142/pdm

This is a sample of a good thread from that forum:   Permaculture: A Designers' Manual - Preface and Chapter 1 - INTRODUCTION

Permaculture-Designers-Manual-Preface-Chapter 1

For fun try the meaningless drivel  Forum

I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody. Instead, I'm a tiny ad.
