Forest Fires and what forests looked like

So many of my assumptions are wrong.  I was doing research on Ecology programs for my son and came across this video.   Paul F. Hessburg Research Landscape Ecologist.

What are your thoughts?

I was aware of most of this, but it was a nice talk. Hadn't seen the pictures before though, that was interesting.

It's been difficult this week with all the fires here in California, the air quality is crap. I feel so bad for the people in Paradise, such a loss for the Seventh Day Adventist community.
