Hello,  I am recruiting new people to come visit our community in Mineral, VA. Please send an email to Acorncommunity@gmail.com if you are interested in scheduling a visit. I will reply with a questionnaire and then call for an interview.

After a bit of time of having membership application closed down, we are opening our membership process again. There are no real bosses here, so people generally decide in what areas they elect to contribute, therefore being a self starter is crucial. However, there is a pre-existing business and other projects, including the daily routines necessary to run a commune of 30 people, so there is a structure in terms of things to plug into. There is a lot to orientate in terms of explaining the character and definition of our community, so if you are a self starter with good work ethic, and hold egalitarianism as an ideal, then it would be worth our time to communicate to one another. Please email if you are interested.

Hi Scott! Welcome to permies.com!

Thank you for posting out here and letting us know that you are looking for new members.

To help others learn more about you all, I am adding some links about you all and putting your thread in the Eastern USA and Appalachia forums:

This is the Acorn Community website.
And here is the Acorn Community posting on the Fellowship of Intentional Communities.
FaceBook page for Acorn Community.

(I did find the correct links to your community, right?)

And after reading some more about you all, I'll need to let you know about my interest.
