question for a final semester paper on compost

are there any companies or organizetions that promotes on site,not in-vesseles compost at industrial scales such as hotels and hospitles? for example a company that suggests the idea to compost and after some time the institue selects an empty terraine of soil (in its grown), creats a pile there and takes complete care of it by itself.

The State of Hawaii has county administered "green waste" composting set up in numerous locations throughout the state. Waste is both collected by the county, plus brought to the site by individuals where it is ground and processed for mulch and soil amendments. Landscapers, tree trimmers, property maintenance companies, and homeowners drop off a variety of green waste, including some non plant waste such as wood pallets. Up until recently, kitchen/food waste from hotels and restaurants were also used, but I am not sure that is still going on because of a recent contract dispute.

When I lived in New Jersey many years ago I was aware that the City of Philadelphia collected fall leaves, which were composted in massive piles made on city owned land. There were numerous long high piles that were turned and maintained using large industrial machinery designed for composting.

In Hawaii, the final material is made available to the public for free. In Philadelphia, I don't know what they did with their compost.

Because of the cost involved and the need for expensive heavy equipment & labor, hotels and institutes around here don't do their own composting. They collect there material and give it to the county government.
