I'm moving to the Champaign-Urbana Illinois area to start a farm job. The job will last from April to October. It won't pay very much and doesn't include on farm housing, so I was hoping to find a living situation somewhere in the area where I could work trade in order to park a camper on someone's farm. I would be happy to work on the property a few hours a week helping with permaculture projects or anything else that needs done. I wonder if you've ever heard of parasitic wasps? They are pretty nifty as long as you're not a caterpillar.

My partner and I are planning to travel in North Carolina this upcoming Spring in search of homesteading experience and permaculture teachers. I'd love to hear more about your property and projects you might be seeking help with. My partner is a carpenter's assistant and has experience building. I work on an organic vegetable farm and also have a small amount of experience with natural building / cob. We hope to travel in the style of WWOOF, but without the membership fee and more geared towards permaculture opportunities. We want to work in exchange for food and hopefully housing, but we are also open to tent camping. Could you post a little more about your land and your vision?
