It was so fun to hand wash these whites and to go through the whole process. I'm not sure what exactly I expected, but I was surprised and excited  when I saw the difference in the shirt. I had tried to spot treat it with another method and had put it through the wash twice, and it hadn't done any good, but a few lemons, salt, and several hours in the sun later and here we are!

Using rice, carrots, peas, broccoli, eggs, and an assortment of seasoning, I made a meal for five. (Not counting leftovers.) At one point I thought I had overcooked the vegetables (eep!) But turns out they were fine with the right amount of bite. (Phew!)
Two cups of dry white rice, four cups water, a tablespoon butter, and a pinch of salt cooked for seventeen minutes make a great base for many meals, and I am pleased to say my rice turned out "perfect" says my mentor, taste-tester, and photographer. (Thanks Harmony!)
Thank you to my mom and sister for walking me through this process. Believe it or not I had fun!

This is a character designed by Ben Hatke, author and illustrator of "Mighty Jack" and other books. I made the doll out of wool from my sister's sheep, and the leaves are made from scraps of felt (not from our sheep) from a previous project of mine. I hope you like it!

It took forever because we kept eating them, but here they are, twelve delicious eggs!

I had a really hard time at first, but my big sis came to the rescue with some encouragement. So I got up, brushed myself off, and kept going! I'm really happy with the result, and hope you are to!

For this piece I used the garter stitch rib pattern. We lost the label for the yarn, so my big sis tested it with FIRE! it smelled really bad, but when she was done the burn test revealed it was in fact wool. I had never used this pattern before, but I think it turned out really well!

I used the following recipe. https://www.reformationacres.com/2017/06/sourdough-farm-loaf.html I ran out of all-purpose flour at four cups, so I used one and a half cups home-ground whole-wheat flour and it turned out fine. I intend to cook it longer next time, but I keep finding myself wanting to get another slice.
