This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Metal Working.

If you have a rocket mass heater, wood stove or fireplace, you may have a poker, ash scoop or other tools getting in the way.  A rack would be nice to hold them.  Let's make one!

Here's a video of a true craftsman making a fireplace tong set and a bit about the stand to hold all the tools.  You get pie if you make one this nice!

Here's a video of one that's made by welding horseshoes together.  This is the level of craftsmanship we're after in this BB:

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements is to make a stand to hold fireplace or rmh tools:
  - steel or iron
  - some welding or forging (heating metal and shaping it) involved

To document your completion of the BB, provide the following:
 - A picture of your stand partially assembled
 - A picture of the finished stand

Villains always have antidotes. They're funny that way. Here's an antidote disguised as a tiny ad:
the permaculture bootcamp in winter (plus half-assed holidays)
