This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Plumbing.

In this Badge Bit, you will make your very own water tower!  If you don't have enough elevation on your property for a pond, this is the next best thing.  Let's do it!

Here's a reasonably fancy system that uses a ram pump to fill a water tower.  It even has a silt trap and continuous flow:

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
  - more than 50 gallons
  - more than 7 feet from the ground to the bottom of the water tank
  - freestanding (not in your attic)

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
  - some of the parts you're building it from
  - tower partially built
  - plumbing underway
  - finished build
  - tank at least 80% full of water (showing tower is strong enough)

Let nothing stop you! Not even this tiny ad:
