This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEA curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Natural Medicine.

For this BB, you will acquire fresh (probably purchase), dry, and store enough ginger root to make a tea, infusion or decoction.

Minimum requirements:
  - Start with a fresh, identifiable sample of the ginger root
  - Dry and store with a label
        - Label includes the name of the herb and the date of drying

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 mins):
  - Identifiable image of the fresh herb
  - Your herbs drying (hanging, in a dehydrator, in a bag, etc.)
  - Your herbs in a sealed and labelled container, with the label also indicating the date

This is my submission for Drying Ginger:

I bought the ginger at a store. I peeled it, cut it, dehydrated it, stored it in a jar and labelled it.

In looking this up, learned about telling if ginger is fresh - snaps easy with few fibers! (Also, testing the skin with your nail)
