This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Round Wood Woodworking.

Sometimes a mailbox needs to be attached to a post of some sort.  Now that you have some experience with trees and logs, let's practice some joinery that might look pretty for the neighbors.  Let's make a post!

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a mailbox post from logs
  - Includes a log angle brace
  - Logs meet snugly at all joints, not round on round
  - No bark on logs

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - Logs you're starting with
  - Mailbox post midway through construction
  - Finished post installed
  - View of joinery

I have begun to write a book. I already have all the page numbers done! And one tiny ad:
