This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

We've done some basic carpentry so far and now it's time to bump it up a notch.  Sitting on the floor can get a bit old.  Let's build a chair!

Here's one way to do it, especially if you don't value your safety:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a sturdy chair for indoor use
  - Frame is solid wood
  - Chair can have a wooden, upholstered or caned seat
      - Upholstering or caning may be another BB
  - Sturdy enough for Uncle Frank (250 lbs)
  - Use decent woodworking joinery techniques
       - Mortises, tenons, dowel pins, half laps, etc
       - No pocket hole screws or excessive use of fasteners
  - Homemade natural finish

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Applying the natural finish
  - Completed chair
