Jewelry box - PEM BB dimensional.wood.jewelrybox

This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

We've done some basic carpentry so far and now it's time to bump it up a notch.  Maybe you need a Christmas present pronto?  Let's build a beautiful jewelry box!

 
 

Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:


Minimum requirements:
  - Make a jewelry box
  - At least 4" by 8" by 10"
  - Hinged lid
  - Removable compartmentalized tray
  - Homemade natural finish

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Applying the natural finish
  - Completed jewelry box showing tray in place and removed
