Rocket engine - PEM BB woodheat.straw.rocketengine

This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Wood Heat.

Rocket technology allows us to heat things very fast with wood.  Let's build a rocket engine core that we can use to cook with or to turn into larger builds!

 



There is probably a video of this process in the Permies.com digital marketplace but nothing I could find out on youtube :(

Minimum requirements:
  - Build a j tube rocket engine core
  - At least a 5" system
  - Portable by one strong person
  - Contained with some metal so it stays together

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The heat tolerant parts you're starting with
  - Several points during construction
  - Finished rocket engine
  - Fire going and proof that heat is coming out the top (toasting marshmallow?)
