This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Traditional Skills.

Sometimes when we're hungry a fish just jumps out of the water for us to eat.  If that isn't reliably happening, it's time to do something about it.  Let's build a fish net!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a woven fish net
  - Openings are 1" by 1" or smaller
  - Make at least 8 square feet of net
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The materials and tools you're starting with
  - Several points during the making of the net
  - Finished net with a ruler to show size of the mesh
  - Prove 8 square feet if it isn't obvious

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
