What is a private forum?
A private forum is a place where a group can gather and chat that isn't open for public view.  Permies private forums are here.  If you don't see anything, that's because you're not yet a member of a private forum.

People make private forums for lots of reasons.  It's a great tool for communicating over long distances.  For example, people collaborating on a permaculture design project, or a workshop organiser, or class participants that want to keep in touch.  There are all sorts of reasons why one might want a private chinwag.

The be nice rule will still apply and staff will moderate private forums in exactly the same way as public ones.

To manage your forums, click "my forums" at the top of the page.  This takes you to a list of forums you manage.  Pick one and click.

There's a lot of stuff here.  More on that later.

Today, the focus is on adding and removing members and other forum managers.

Scroll down to the bottom and you should see something like this.

It's called Manage Forum Access

Forum Managers: At the top we have three forum managers, myself and two others.  These people already have the super powers to add and remove people from this forum.

To remove a forum manager, press the "X" next to their name.
