We are now processing the final bits of accounting and today I am sending out travel reimbursements and stuff to the innovators.
I want to give
MASSIVE THANKS to Jocelyn who did a lot of the registrar stuff and all of the accounting for free ... and she helped in the kitchen a LOT during the event - she's not much into building rocket mass
heaters, but she does believe deeply in how important they are. Those two jobs are huge jobs. And thanks to Renee Lawver who helped with a lot of the registration stuff.
I also want to thank Fred, J and Kara who worked non stop before the event started and then proceeded to work through the event taking care of all the little bits and bobs to make an awesome event. And then continued after the event to clean up and help get people to the airport and stuff. This was, by far, the tidiest
rocket mass heater event we have ever had!
I want to thank Katelin for cooking such great food, plus, most importantly, taking care of all sorts of bits and bobs surrounding the kitchen so that kitchen drama was super small.
Thanks to the folks that came a bit early to help us get ready. Thanks to Attilio, Travis and Saikhnaa for doing the work trade to help us get ready for this event - and knowing their way around all our stuff so the event can be well organized and tidy!
Thanks to the amazing students that brought skills and strong, positive passion to make the event .... authentically beautiful.
And, of course, thanks to world leaders in
rocket mass heater technology for taking two weeks out of their lives to come together and save the world.
It was an amazing event. For those interested in the 2018 event, please mark your calendar for something to start on friday evening, September 28th for fire science, and continuing through to October 7. We are hammering out details now and hope to have the web page updated by the first of january.
