Hello! We have a swimming pool and behind the swimming pool we have a terrible view, so we thought that planting bamboo might be a good idea. So we ordered bamboos based on how tall they grow and also rizome barriers to avoid them
fucking around, and life was good until an acquaintance told me “this is a mess close to a swimming pool, because of the leaves falling!”
So, info that we didnt know messing with our plans. But I have read that not all bamboos are created equal and not all of them lose their leaves, or lose them in a not significant amount. I started to look for info but it looks like it is not that easy to find some detailed knowledge about this. I found info only about one variety.
I was thinking that maybe some of you could know about bamboos losing leaves, so these are the varieties that we ordered, now I have to know more about them
- Phyllostachys Nigra x 5
- Phyllostachys Bissettii x 3
- Semiarundinaria Fastuosa x 1
- Semiarundinaria Fastuosa Viridis x1
- Phyllostachys Aureosulcata Aureocaulis —
This one I have read that will not lose leaves x1
So, this is it, what do you think?
