You know... if I had the full run of Hee Haw and The Lawrence Welk Show to watch... and a fully stocked kitchen... I would take the world's cheapest vacation right now.

I'll take the full run of the original Muppet Show, my kitchen is already stocked. Good thing, temperature went down 40 degrees today. I have hot soup, fresh griddle bread, but no Muppets that I haven't seen 12 times :)
I have a Leaning Tower of Books (TM) that I'm working on. Several of the Dragonriders of Pern series on my table right now.

The Muppet Show would be god, too.  Maybe MST3K

Howdy,
I spent a couple of days in the hospital and had access to 64 channels. Lasted about 15 minutes worth("UGH"), but they had this site going and I just left it on 24 hrs. very soothing. Nature vids and pics with contemporary classical type music(piano, strings, irish penny whistle, flute, native american flute, east indian flute).
I am going to subscribe for here at home...

Bob Ross’ the Joy of Painting is my vacation viewing of choice. The only stressful moments are when he’s got a beautiful painting that he decides to add “one more little tree” to, and of course a friend, and I always worry he’ll ruin it. Bob always pulled it off though!

For no adequately defined reason, this Muppet skit always gets stuck in my head.

Mahna-mahna!

Ben, when I want to take a nap and need some soothing sounds, I put on a random Bob Ross show on low volume. I find his voice to be very soothing. No stress, no worries.

Randall: You lasted 14.75 minutes longer than I would have.  :D

I am a huge Bob Ross fan too.  My wife got me a shirt that has him putting happy little trees on the side of a mountain.  When I was little we could watch tv in the middle of the hot summer day as long as we were snapping beans or shelling peas.  He was on one of the 2 channels we got.

Oh wow! I haven’t read them since I was a teen. Might have to see if they’re in the library. Thank you!

Anyone else watch H.R. PufNStuf?  I recently re-discovered it.  I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to get the series on DVD for a reasonable price so I don't have to watch on youtube.
