I’ve been spending too much time indoors. I have to . . . I have a house that needs a lot of work, essential work before winter arrives. It’s also been too hot to work outside much. My thoughts are turning more and more to what I’m going to do this autumn. I have set a chunk of time aside to start the hardscaping. Besides thinking, I need to start drawing. I have lots of digital skills and spent a chunk of my life using cad software. But sitting in front of a computer makes me sad and it’s not good for my shoulders. So I have decided to go old school and draw everything by hand. I started searching but couldn’t find what I’m after which is:

A3 / 297 x 420mm / 11.7 x 16.5 inches or there abouts.
Grid - 5mm. I could work at 1/4 inch of that’s a good solution as I’m in the US.
Good quality paper made without icky stuff
In a book but removable, sheets ideally, but not essential

My online searches are just throwing up A5 / A4 notebooks. I’m sure there’s lots of permies and homesteaders making plans. What do you use? Do you know what will fit my requirements?

Cheers.

PS - this is my crazy plot - not the couple of acres I wished for.

Our usual routine has been to go to the nearest local office supply and buy graph paper.

It would seem to me that local craft stores might have sketch pads though I don't know if they would have the grid kind as I have not looked.

Here is a place where you can print out free graph paper of several sizes:

Thank you Anne.

I went to a stationary shop and found what I needed. I really should spend less time hunting the internet.

Just spent a very enjoyable couple of hours sketching and dreaming.

I am glad you found what you were looking for.

I would suggest setting aside an hour or so to do something enjoyable, like sketching.

That garden looks lovely, I want one.
