If you live near enough to Madison WI and want to get out of the cold for the day (or three days), check out the Wisconsin Public Television Garden and Landscape Expo.  There are all the normal "conventional" presenters and vendors but also some good organic gardening and permaculture topics.  I've gone for the last two years and there are still enough new seminars that it's worth continuing to go.  And the Madison Area Permaculture Guild will have a booth there.
