I was travelling for a few weeks, and when I returned, I found this plant had crawled over a cedar hedge from my neighbour's to enjoy the sun at my place.

I'm curious as to what it might be - anyone recognize it?  I'm guessing it is some kind of Chinese vegetable (fruit?).




I live Richmond, BC, Canada - a suburban island city just south of Vancouver.

Looks rather like a malabar gourd.  

AKA Cucurbit ficifolia. We call them gila here.  Kinda like a watermelon but without the nice sweet red bit inside.

Now I need to decide whether I should let the neighbour know, or silently keep it for myself
