I suppose now is as good a time as any to announce that I am about to jump into
permaculture in a big, big way.
Along with my wife, my brother and his wife, my father and two cousins, we are planting a 6 acre terraced and hugulkultured food forest.
My brother has been to the intensive design course with Dave Jacke, and will be attending
Sepp's course in Montana. In fact, upon his return from Montana we begin our
earthworks.
We are planting a wide variety of cold-hardy northern exotic fruits in Brookvale, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The name of our business is Island Forest Foods. We are planting, amongst others, asian pears, pears, apples, heartnut, plums, grapes, hardy kiwis and plumcots. We are buying all of our stock from Green Barn Nursery (I highly reccommend his videos too).
More to come in time, we will be building a website, documenting our progess, etc.
