I kind of want to eventually startup and run a local organization somewhere with a permaculture bent to it, so, this might be a good way to learn some of the skills I will need in the future.
I am still not entirely sure, because there are additional factors that I need to take into account.
What sort of permaculture organization? And how do you expect to monitze it? Laramie being a college town has potential for such things and the change but college students are not typically rich. Which leaves rest of the population there. Which isn't huge by most areas standards. Education in permaculture in WY will probably only work thru the university or county extension. The only other positions like to work would be growning something which in Laramie virtually requires year round green houses or livestock or some sort of food hub. A working food hub system is the other place it might work if done right. The problem is making it work. There have been several attempts to make a working system without much success. One of the things that is killing it is lack of year round produce. Which brings it back to year round greenhouses. They are doable with good design anywhere in WY but they will mostly be a do it and learn as you go rather than a go learn from someone and cookie cutter it.
