I agree with the pine identification. I've got several specimens of long needle pines in my yard with trunks that size. I would hate to have to take them out. Looks like you will need to remove that one, and you have my sympathy.
Take a look around on the ground, you may be able to photograph cones or shed needles.

Thank you all for your input. Pine was what I was leaning toward, but as many of you stated- no leaves or needles to confirm. I didn’t want to risk being wrong.
This poor specimen came from a nature trail close to me. They allow me to collect downed branches, bark and leaves for my reptile enclosures. They don’t use any chemicals on the grounds so it’s the safest place to get things from.
Unfortunately conifers are toxic to most exotic animals so I’ll have to toss it. What a waste. I don’t come across big sheets of bark very often.
