anyone use rice as desiccant when storing dry goods

I know that putting some rice in a salt shaker will absorb moisture to prevent salt from caking. I thinking of making pouches of rice with coffee filters to put in bottles of grains to be stored.

Yes, rice is an excellent dessicant for dry goods and things like kale chips.

I vac seal them in Mason jars. No dessicants.

any suggestions on how much to use, say per quart, gallon ?
