Threads with multiple Pages

Hello all

So i have noticed this. When i click on the say page 16 for the what is this ID thread. It will send me to the first page and than once i am in the thread i hit the page 16.

So iam viewing it on a macbook laptop with Firefox. I am in the recent topics pageRecent topic list. And when i put my cursor over the 16 it shows the thread What is it game....and it shows the first post/page.

Now this does not always happen. sometimes when i click the last page number of a thread it sends me to the last page. other times it sends me to the first page and than i have to click on the last page of that thread.

This seems like a intermittent bug.

right now when i put my cursor over the number 10 and 9 it only shows the first page.Corona virus memes

When i put my cursor over the 10, i look in the bottom left corner of my browser it shows https://permies.com/wiki/135/136232/CoronaVirus-Memes
when i click on it it takes me to the first page.

And when i put my cursor over the actual thread subject it shows https://permies.com/wiki/136232/CoronaVirus-Memes (so minus the 135)

just some more information

Recent topics page is full of bugs and scheduled for demolishment but every time we announce it is leaving, people cry out "NO!  DON"T TAKE IT AWAY FROM US!!!"  so we leave it up, bugs and all.

So a kind person made it so we can have a view like "recent topics" in the home view https://permies.com/forums.  At the top right, you can choose some of the different options (I choose "recent topics full width") and when you find the one you like best, go to "My Profile" to make it permanent.

interesting. I do really like the recent topics page. It sounds like i will just need to deal with it.

I like that it shows who posted the page, which forum topic it is under, when it was posted and who responded to it.

I will check out the other viewing options as i didn't like the one you suggested because it didn't show who responded.

When i switch to "most recent topics as table"

The issue is still there.

The "recent topics full width" view has fewer bugs (I haven't found one yet and I'm a big bug hunter) and has all the features of the old "recent topic".

i would say it has most of them. it is missing who replied to the thread. which i find useful. When certain people respond to messages i like to see what they have to say, otherwise sometimes i will not check out a thread.

try: My profile -> Pie-only Preferences -> Show thread starter / last poster in the forum view (beta/new view only)

Did that fix the original problem with the page number as well?  

it appears so. Most of the numbers have the permies.com/t/40/ or whatever the post numbers are.
