I'm based in Perth, Western Australia, and am looking for a source for commercial quantities of fresh and/or dry comfrey leaves to brew my own compost tea. The only suppliers I have found so far were all based in NSW and are not allowed to ship to Western Australia due to our stringent quarantine laws.

I am in country WA. Recently I bought comfrey seeds from The Seed Collection in Victoria, so why not grow your own. Also available from Eden Seeds in QLD.

If you can get one plant from a nursery then you can chop the roots into pieces about 1.5 cm long and put them into a growing tray. They will shoot very easily. We did that and got an 80 out of 80 strike rate. You can double your numbers every year and and if planted around fruit trees, they are self sustaining as a mulch.
