This makes me sad

An imaginary line is separating me from Permies products that I'd like to buy.

I can understand the restriction -- it adds a ton of overhead and hassle for relatively small returns.

I suppose there are ways around it using a VPN, but I don't believe that's an ethical approach.

As a micro-business owner, I wouldn't touch this sticky mess with a barge pole and rubber gloves. It's unfortunate, but c'est la vie.

Having read through that, I now better understand Paul's dilemma and the reasoning behind his policy. I should clarify that I was not suggesting that Paul was making me sad, just that I am experiencing sadness. Now, I feel informed enough to say that government is making me sad, and that is not at all surprising. I get tremendous benefit from the permies empire and I am grateful for it.
