Hi to all,

Jujube seeds are really hard, I was gifted some and I want to free them of their seed coat and stratify them this Winter. Any ideas short of taking an angle grinder to them? Vinegar? A hammer? Gosh they're hard. No I dont have a flexible shaft/dremel type tool available. A nut cracker maybe? I have a 25 lb shop vise...maybe that would work?

Any ideas most appreciated. Mike

just sandpaper or equivalent should work.

I use wire cutters and cut at one end until I get the seeds out.

Other people may reject you but if you lie in the forest floor for long enough the moss and fungi will accept you as one of their own!
