SkIP Badges in north central Mass.--I need help, you need land? (home of the Garlic Festival)

Hello world,

I want to plant the seed for having some help with projects that can make a longterm positive impact if they get started on a good foot.

I have seeds and some seedling trees coming in spring, and a few acres to plant out.  

I would welcome help with:

--making squirrel deterrent systems
              --owl habitat,
              --sacrifice crop
              --bone sauce? (this last one is probably a non-starter if you live in a more crowded urban area, easier to do out in the countryside)
--hugelbeds for irrigation
              --maybe with an excavator, if I can find one experienced person to teach that and assuming there aren't too many other obstacles)
--building a chicken coop              
--planting (mulberries is one, I think there are badge bits for other tree planting)
--ridding a barn of powderpost beetles without toxins (I'll create a badge for you for that!  it isn't definite it can be done)
--thankless tasks (no badge but you get to feel superior)

I think there are badge bits for many of these things.  If there aren't, it's still worth documenting to put on one's "homestead resume."  

I think we can put one person up at a time at our space.  We have to settle in first.  There's still covid circumstances.  Coming for a day is more surefire.  So a group event for a day,

Longterm I have loads of other projects that may be more interesting than these, but these ones need to happen at the start of things.  And in some cases it's all got to be done at the same time.

You'll get a badge, and my undying gratitude, and also I'll be very glad to lend a hand when you have land and need to get things set up.

Yes.  And at the moment there are too many variables for me to schedule a specific date.  But stay tuned to this thread (hit follow or "like and subscribe" or whatever it is) and there will be dates.

The rocket mass heater build will either be Feb. 12-13th. . .or the 19th-20th...or 26 27. . .it all depends on people's schedules who would be leading this.  

Then next steps for planting trees and stuff will be springtime.

Hey there. I'm interested in the learning and helping part just to gain skills and experience, the day trip kind. Gladly will help out with planting. I have a little experience in building and built my own duck coop/shelter. Also very interested in RMH workshops of any kind.

Update on plans--the closing is pushed back to the end of February, and I think we have to actually own the house before we can start building, haha.

Southern central mass here, so likely about 30 minutes drive from my area to yours.  Perhaps we can help each other, as I desire land got my old beagle to run around on, as she always comes back, even if an hour or two later.

Current my need is finding someone to tend my sapling urban farm and two pups. Really enjoy the area and am setting up a medical grow, as well as sprouts, microgreens and full crops through hydro, aqua, soil in containers, and possibly in ground veggies

Just have gotten both my earthworm bin and superworm container started, and can eventually share some, but need to go through a birth cycle (or two) first. Would be interested in critter trade as well, as I am going to raise guinea pig and rabbits.

There's some seed that I can trade as well, as I have my favorite bean to sprout that is like mung but cleaner tasting, called a moth bean, and some other varieties in bulk.

Guess it would be easier me seeing what you produce and are willing to trade.

Update, yes:
--we did build the rocket mass heater back in March
--I've got ducks, geese, hogs, LGD, guineas. i would think lots of badge material there.
--i have a maggot bucket (currently off-line) and mealworm bin
--many more hugelbeds need to be built/repaired or completed
   --and it's extra easy since there are huge (excavator made them) piles of topsoil ready to wheelbarrow over to dump on the wood, it'll go a hellofa lot faster with more people

--I have lots of little farm tasks that I could really use a hand with, like schlepping a stock tank, or really just need moral support or company, and if you're up for doing a few thankless tasks with me as well as badge-y ones, it would be awesome.  i'll be glad to come help out on your place

--the laws of physics are such that objects are always heavier on your own farm and lighter on someone else's

--building habitat for more kinds of creatures would be awesome

--maybe opportunities for other projects if that would help your badge life
