Hello, Collin!
Thank you for great sharing! It's great idea to use solar energy for cooking in the form of solar grill. My question if this Lithium Nitrate which serves as a solar battery will not harm the cooked food? The idea of hybrid grill is better I think because, when we want to eat and cook but there is no sun- it's a problem...Nevertheless it's a great product.

Wow I can use it to make breakfast in the morning before the sun comes out.
Due to the fact that it stores the energy (450F even 25 hours later). Such a cool invention.
I wish I could go out an buy one now. Maybe we could build one with just Salt, NaCl.
I wonder why they went with LiNO2 instead of just NaCl.

Anyone interested in building something similar?

Would it be possible to power an electric grill through a converter with a 12v battery from solar panels? Wouldn't that be the same concept but available now? I have been reading up on camp cooking and stumbled across solar power being used as a power source at camp sites.

Like Dave said here, the idea is really great, but we cannot be dependent on this product. If the sun is not there for days, it would be very difficult to cook. I'm not interested in using it as a seasonal product, still I would to know more about it.

You ridiculous clown, did you think you could get away with it? This is my favorite tiny ad!
